Mr Ravishankar Periasamy

Ravishankar  Periasamy

Having completed multiple professional examinations in the span of 33 years, Mr Ravishankar Periasamy possesses extensive knowledge and experience in Occupational Safety and Health. He has been a part of the Disaster Response Team and a volunteer for the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) since 1990. In addition to that, he has also assisted in several disasters, such as, the Highlands Tower collapse, the dreadful tsunami that struck Banda Acheh in 2004, and the earthquake in Yogyakarta, to name a few.

Mr Kuyilan Muthusamy

Mr Kuyilan Muthusamy has been working at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) for almost 12 years now and currently holds the position of Senior Assistant Medical Officer. He was also a trainer for BOMBA, Civil Defence Malaysia (JPAM), and Klang Valley Hospitals, specifically KKM Prehospital Care Course Level  (I & II), as well as an Instructor cum Examiner for the Malaysian Red Crescent Selangor Branch & National Headquarters. Apart from that, Mr Kuyilan’s contribution to volunteer rescue missions is most certainly noteworthy.

Mr Somasundaram Perumal

From the year 1996 till 2008, Mr Somasundaram was employed at the Emergency Department in HKL, as an Assistant Medical Officer, and in  2008 he transferred to Klinik Kesihatan Batu, holding the same position. Similar to our previous trainers, Mr Somasundaram is also actively involved volunteer rescue missions namely, disaster drills at Bukit Jalil Stadium (Pre Sukom 1998) and multiple plane crash at KLIA and LIMA Langkawi. Apart from that, he was also involved in rescue efforts during the crash of Tan Sri’s house in Ulu Klang.

Abdul Malek bin Omar

Abdul Malek is a freelance consultant providing services in safety and environmental management. He possesses more than 31 years of hands-on working experience in Safety, Health & Environment with large Multinational Manufacturing Companies such as Texas Instruments, Nestle and Ansell. In addition to that, he also served as a panel member and auditor for the Annual MSOSH Award Competition and was a part of the management committee for Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) as well as a working committee member for FMM Selangor.

Mohd Azmi bin Daud

At only 33 years of age, Mohd Azmi is a skilled and trained firefighter with a vast experience in the sector. After 4 years of training at the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, he successfully joined their Operation Team Unit and served for a total of 3 years. Not long after, Mohd Azmi was promoted to the Fire Hydrant Department and worked there for another 2 years before moving on to their Enforcement Department.

Kannan Murugiah

Kannan has successfully bagged several awards during his service with the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, a few being the Excellence in Service award in 1998, 2008 and 2015 as well as the Fire And Rescue Service Department’s Excellence Award in the year 2001. Apart from that, he also boasts 29 years of experience in Rescue, Fire Fighting and Tactical Response and 21 years in conducting Fire Safety Training to Firemen and Public – for all ages.

Siva is a Senior Associate Consultant / Corporate Trainer. He has been involved in training, coaching and consulting for more than 12 years with the intention of increasing productivity and performance of people. He has given training workshops and teambuilding workshops throughout the country for various companies including Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia Berhad, Tentera Laut di Raja Malaysia Lumut (TLDM), Universiti Malaya Centre of Continuing Education (UMCCed), Tan Chong Group, Star Publications, Astro All Asia Broadcast Centre, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM),  Continental Tyres PJ Malaysia Sdn Bhd, to name a few.

His most popular courses are in the areas of Management Skills, Leadership Skills, Quality Management, Environment Management, Safety Management, Factory Management, Operations Management and People Development. Kamalanathan Ramasamy

Educational Qualifications

Kamalanathan holds a fluid and in-depth knowledge of safety and industrial management system in industries. His extensive experience and skills were gained from working as a Safety & Health Officer and a Senior Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Consultant in multiple companies across the country. IN addition to that, Kamalanathan has implemented not one but several tactics and steps to ensure a smooth operation in industries, and to increase safety awareness among workers.

Yusof Bin Kadikon

Yusof started his professional work as an Assistant Mechanical Maintenance Junior Engineer at Pelepas Brigentine Service PTP Johor right after finishing his degree. His research interests are Ergonomics / Human Factor Engineering. Now, he furthering his studies on PhD in Industrial Ergonomics at UTHM. Yusof is also a member of the International Associate Engineer (IAENG), Malaysia Society of Occupational Safety & Health (MSOSH) , NRH-SHE and Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Malaysia HFEM). He also possesses extensive experience in the use of computer software applications and engineering software. 

Apart from that, he is also a Trainer at NIOSH on Ergonomics and Manual Handling at Work Place (EMHW), has a rather vast experience on ergonomics assessment and Safety and Health Officer Certificate Course (DOSH) & Ergonomic Trained Person Trainer.
